Public-key encryption scheme is a cryptographic scheme whicht functions are to enable the encryption of the plaintext by any person having a public key of the recipient and to make it possible to restore the original text by only the person who possesses the corresponding personal secret key (private key). Secret and public key of the recipient are connected by one-way function so that the calculation of the public key from the secret can be performed in polynomial time and the calculation of the secret key from the public is computationally challenging.
