Snek (SNEK)
SNEK is a deflationary memecoin launched on the Cardano blockchain, a decentralized proof of stake (PoS) system, in April 2023. It is a community-driven project without any pre-mine or team allocation, founded by Cardano community member goofycrisp. SNEK stands out as the largest token on Cardano in terms of trading volume, demonstrating its significant presence in the ecosystem. Snek game
On December 29, 2023, the SNEK team introduced the Snek Game, developed in collaboration with Paima, Vacuum Labs, and Anvil. The game draws inspiration from the classic snake game on Nokia phones. To play, users need to deposit ADA and exchange it for game credits. Initially launched for desktop, a mobile version is anticipated for release in 2024.
Tokenomics
The total supply of SNEK is 76,715,880,000 tokens. During the presale on April 27, 2023, 50% of the tokens were distributed among participants based on the ADA they provided. The presale was open to the public without prior qualifications. Additionally, 40% was allocated to DEX initial tokens deposit along with all presale proceeds, 2% to airdrops, 5% to utility purposes like farming, partnerships, and project development, and 3% to a reserve. As a deflationary memecoin, SNEK uses various burning mechanisms to remove tokens from circulation at regular intervals, enhancing buying pressure and gradually decreasing supply.

Branding upgrade
On February 5, 2024, Snek's creator, Goofycrisp, announced a branding upgrade for Snek, its ecosystem, and the $SNEK token. This upgrade aimed to enhance the brand identity to match the project's ambitions while preserving its historical relevance. The revamped branding highlights values such as community, innovation, fun, and creativity. The upgrade included a new SNEK icon, changes in website typography, and an overall interface redesign.
