BOOK OF MEME (BOME)

Book of Meme (BOME) is a memecoin built on the Solana blockchain, officially launching on March 14, 2014. The project was founded by digital artist DarkFarms.

Overview

BOME is a unique project focused on preserving meme cultures within the blockchain, creating an extensive digital collection. As a memecoin, it draws inspiration from internet jokes and virality. The project integrates memes with decentralized storage solutions and speculative crypto trading, offering a novel approach to content access and preservation. It acts as a centralized hub for meme culture, providing a permanent repository using verifiable and immutable records. Future plans include incorporating Bitcoin inscriptions to enhance meme storage security.

BOME is listed on over 80 cryptocurrency exchanges, including both centralized (CEX) and decentralized (DEX) platforms. Notable exchanges include Binance, Bybit, KuCoin, Gate.io, MEXC, and Crypto.com.

Tokenomics

The total supply of BOME tokens is 69,000,000,420. The initial distribution was allocated as follows:

  • Presale (50%): Half of the tokens were made available during the presale event, allowing early investors to acquire BOME tokens before public availability.
  • Liquidity Pool (30%): This portion was allocated to liquidity pools to facilitate seamless trading on exchanges, ensuring the availability of BOME tokens for buying and selling.
  • Community Fund (20%): These tokens were designated for the community fund, which supports market initiatives, community programs, and rewards for project contributors.

Utility

DF1 Meme Enhancer

The DF1 Meme Enhancer is a tool designed to enhance memes and drawings with retro-style pixel noise and glitch effects, reminiscent of the digital aesthetics of 1994.

A decentralized meme social network app

BOME aims to develop a platform for meme creation and sharing, allowing users to contribute to the evolving meme landscape. This interactive platform seeks to foster a community-driven meme creation experience.

CC0 Meme ClipArt Gallery

BOME addresses copyright concerns by providing a library of memes licensed under CC0, or "Creative Commons Zero." This license allows users to share, modify, and distribute memes without copyright restrictions.

Presale

The project kicked off with a 24-hour presale initiated by DarkFarms, the Web 3.0 artist behind BOME, on March 14, 2024. Instead of setting a fixed price, participants contributed Solana (SOL) to a designated address. Token allocation was based on the proportion of SOL each participant contributed. The presale successfully raised 10,131 SOL.
