On December 12, 2024, IQ introduced the Agent Tokenization Platform (ATP), which integrates conversational AI with advanced blockchain features. IQ.wiki integrates the IQ token, enabling stakers to vote on governance decisions related to the platform and the token. In February 2023, IQ.wiki incorporated AI to summarize large pages, marking it as one of the first decentralized applications to do so. The BrainDAO team announced future AI integrations, aiming to use the IQ token to incentivize AI training and development. IQ GPT
IQ GPT is an AI agent developed by the IQ team for blockchain knowledge, focusing on delivering real-time information pertinent to the blockchain domain. In 2023, IQ GPT integrated content from various platforms, including IQ.wiki and Etherscan. Later that year, the BrainDAO team launched IQ GPT Chat for Telegram and Discord communities, offering early access to HiIQ holders. In January 2024, web integrations for IQ GPT were introduced, allowing the AI agent to be featured on webpages as a chatbot. IQ GPT added Custom Knowledge Training in April 2024, enabling projects to fine-tune its capabilities.
BrainDAO
The IQ token is managed by BrainDAO, which is governed by IQ stakers. BrainDAO's treasury, backed by diversified yield-earning assets, provides stability and funding for ongoing development. By September 2022, the treasury held over $2 million in Wrapped Ethereum and $5 million in total assets. By February 2023, the treasury's value exceeded $15 million. In October 2023, BrainDAO acquired 2,100,000 sFRAX, becoming a significant staker in sFRAX. By November 2023, the treasury reached over $20 million. In February 2024, BrainDAO staked $10 million of ETH, strengthening its treasury to over $26 million.

Centralized exchanges
The IQ token is listed on major exchanges such as Binance, Crypto.com, Coinone, Upbit, and others. In October 2023, Coinone became the second exchange to list IQ with a KRW fiat pair. In May 2024, IQ was listed on Bitkub and CoinDCX, expanding its availability in Thailand and India. IQ token is also available on LATOKEN, Gate.io, BingX, Bitget, OKX, and Bithumb.
Decentralized exchanges
In September 2022, the IQ token was listed with an IQ-FRAX pair on Fraxswap, the first constant product automated market maker. IQ is also available on Quickswap and Sushiswap.
HiIQ
Launched on August 4, 2021, HiIQ was created to incentivize long-term holding of IQ tokens. The HiIQ staking system allows users to lock their IQ tokens for a chosen duration, increasing their HiIQ balance proportionally. This balance determines the rewards received by stakers.

IQIP-20: Building EOAI with IQ and implementing token burning
In October 2024, the IQ community voted to implement IQIP-20, focusing on building EOAI and establishing IQ as the native token for an AI-driven ecosystem. This proposal introduced AI agents on the blockchain and introduced a new tokenomics model with token burning benefits. IQIP-20 aims to accelerate growth while rewarding stakers and contributors.
The restored IQ token emissions model
As of December 2024, the restored IQ token emissions model mints 3 million IQ daily for HiIQ stakers, incentivizing early adopters. Additional IQ tokens are minted for contributors, BrainDAO treasury, and the IQ company, supporting the IQ ecosystem's growth and development.
IQIP-14: IQ tokenomics for the new IQ.wiki platform
On October 11, 2022, IQIP-14 proposed new tokenomics for the IQ token, adopting a halvening model for sustainable growth. The proposal passed with significant support, and the BrainDAO team implemented it on November 1, 2022.
Utility
The IQ token drives the IQ ecosystem, including ATP, IQ.wiki, and IQ.social, through governance, deflationary design, and liquidity pairing. Governance is achieved through staking, platform fees are partially burned, and every agent launched on ATP pairs with the IQ token.
IQ.social
IQ.social is an AI-powered social forum for crypto news and insights, launched by BrainDAO in November 2023. The platform, part of the IQ ecosystem, is governed by HiIQ stakers who curate and rank submitted articles.
Origins
On December 6, 2017, Everipedia announced the development of the IQ token for governing the platform and incentivizing editors. In 2018, the IQ token launched alongside the transition of the Everipedia encyclopedia to the blockchain. A significant portion of the IQ token supply was airdropped to EOS holders, ensuring wide distribution. The remaining supply was allocated to founders, early backers, the company treasury, EOS VC, and the IQ Fund to support ecosystem growth and development.
