JasmyCoin (JASMY)

JasmyCoin is a cryptocurrency project initiated by Jasmy Corporation, a Tokyo-based Internet of Things (IoT) provider. It integrates IoT technology with blockchain to enhance personal data sovereignty. This enables individuals to have full control over their personal information while facilitating secure data exchanges between IoT devices and decentralized protocols. JasmyCoin, an ERC-20 token, powers the platform by facilitating transactions, incentivizing participants, and contributing to governance and development within the ecosystem.

History

Jasmy was established in April 2016 in Tokyo by several former Sony executives, including Kunitake Ando, Kazumasa Sato, Masanobu Yoshida, and Hiroshi Harada. In October 2021, JasmyCoin ($JASMY) was launched on the Japanese exchange BITPoint Japan. The token serves as the primary utility within the network and plays a significant role in the ecosystem's development.

The platform leverages IoT technology and blockchain to enhance data sovereignty, allowing individuals to control their personal information and enabling secure data exchanges between IoT devices and decentralized protocols. Edge computing and IPFS (InterPlanetary File System) are used to decentralize workflows and ensure data protection. Partnerships with companies like Transcosmos, Panasonic, and VAIO are in place to leverage Jasmy's platform for various applications.

Jasmy's development is spearheaded by a core team of experienced professionals from the technology industry, including Kunitake Ando, Kazumasa Sato, and Hiroshi Harada.

Overview

JasmyCoin represents a merging of blockchain and IoT technologies, developed by Jasmy Corporation, based in Tokyo. Launched in October 2021 on the BITPoint Japan exchange, it serves as the primary utility token within the Jasmy platform. The platform's foundation in April 2016 was led by a team of experienced executives aiming to address challenges in data sovereignty and security.

JasmyCoin aims to provide individuals with enhanced control over their personal information. By integrating IoT and blockchain technologies, Jasmy facilitates secure data exchanges between IoT devices and decentralized protocols. Leveraging edge computing and IPFS, Jasmy seeks to decentralize workflows and bolster data protection.

InterPlanetary File System (IPFS)

JasmyCoin utilizes the InterPlanetary File System (IPFS) to decentralize data storage and retrieval processes. This distributed protocol allows for the storage and sharing of hypermedia in a peer-to-peer manner. IPFS enhances data integrity and availability by breaking files into smaller chunks and distributing them across a network of nodes, thereby improving data security and resilience.

Tokenomics

JasmyCoin employs a token distribution model to foster a sustainable ecosystem. The distribution is as follows: Ecosystem (48%), Funds and Institutional Investors (27%), Contributors and Communities (20%), and Incentive (5%). The initial token launch occurred on October 1, 2021, with a maximum supply of 50 billion tokens, expected to be fully vested by January 31, 2025.

Roadmap

Phase 1: Platform popularization

The initial phase focuses on developing IoT solutions with Jasmy Initiative members to attract users. Technologies like SKC and SG enable blockchain services, reducing costs and enhancing security. Partnerships with contact centers facilitate user base expansion.

Phase 2: Value growth

This phase seeks to expand personal data exchanges and increase the user base. User participation is incentivized through clear value propositions for their data, promoting data use across industries.

Phase 3: Ecosystem expansion

The focus here is on increasing personal data value and compensating individuals for sharing data. The project encourages data exchanges and maintains neutrality on data collection to raise user awareness.

Phase 4: Marketplace expansion

In the final phase, a secure data marketplace is developed for managing and licensing personal data safely. It facilitates data exchanges between individuals and companies, as well as strategic data sharing among companies, aiming to foster a transparent and equitable data economy.
