Oraichain (ORAI)
Oraichain is a public blockchain designed to enable the creation of diverse data requests. Founded in 2020 by Chung Dao, Duc Le Pham, and Diep Nguyen, Oraichain acts as a bridge linking AI APIs with smart contracts and regular applications. Built using the Cosmos SDK along with Tendermint’s Byzantine Fault Tolerance consensus, it facilitates efficient transaction confirmations. The platform offers an AI marketplace, a staking and earning functionality, and the OraiDAO for community governance.

Network participants
Oraichain's consensus protocol is akin to delegated proof-of-stake (DPoS), involving validators who own ORAI tokens. Other holders can delegate their tokens to validators to earn rewards. Validators also validate data from AI providers before it is recorded on the blockchain, using test cases provided by users, smart contracts, and test providers.

AI Layer 1
The Oraichain Mainnet 2.0, known as AI Layer 1, focuses on scalable and interoperable oracle solutions. It standardizes AI-based computations to ensure accuracy and supports the development of functional and intelligent decentralized applications (DApps).
Layer 2 rollups and subnetworks
Oraichain incorporates Layer 2 rollups, including optimistic rollups and zk-rollups, to enhance scalability. Subnetworks, such as the VRF Subnetwork and the AI Execution Subnetwork, operate on Layer 2, expanding Mainnet capacity while maintaining core security.
Interblockchain communication protocol (IBC)
Oraichain utilizes the Interblockchain Communication Protocol (IBC) to facilitate direct communication and asset trading between independent blockchains. This is integrated into OraiDEX, enhancing multi-chain interoperability and offering optimal speed and liquidity.
ORAI
ORAI is the native token within the Oraichain network, available in three forms: ERC-20 on Ethereum, BEP-20 on BNB Chain, and Native ORAI on Oraichain Mainnet. ORAI tokens secure the decentralized network, serve as transaction fees, and participate in governance.
OraiDEX
Introduced in March 2022, OraiDEX is a decentralized exchange platform based on CosmWasm smart contracts. It offers features like token bridging, OraiSwap for token swapping, and NFT Bridge for transferring NFT assets across networks.
ORAIX token
ORAIX serves as the governance and utility token of OraiDEX. It is used for various fees within the platform, such as meta-staking, pool creation, and NFT Bridge, with a total supply of 1 billion tokens allocated for different incentives.
