SPACE ID (ID)
Space ID is a universal name service network that features an identity platform designed to facilitate the discovery, registration, trading, and management of web3 domains. It provides a Web3 Name SDK and API for developers across various blockchains and offers a multi-chain name service to simplify the creation and management of web3 identities.

Multi-chain name service
Space ID launched the .bnb Name Service on the BNB Chain and aims to expand its offerings to include a multi-chain name service. Space ID 2.0 marks the introduction of new top-level domains (TLDs) by the Space ID team and collaboration with other domain providers to enhance the multi-chain name service feature.

Web3 Name SDK and API
The Web3 Name SDK in Space ID allows communities and partners to engage users with custom domain names. Additionally, an all-in-one API is available to simplify the integration of web3 services into applications. This integration enables over 100 partners to access user-owned naming data through a single system.
.bnb Name Service
The .bnb Name Service is the first naming service on the BNB Chain. It allows users to:
- Register .bnb domains to complement traditional BNB Chain addresses.
- Acquire domain NFTs, which signify ownership of the domain name.
- Configure custom records for .bnb domains, enabling integration with various dApps within the BNB Chain ecosystem.
.arb Name Service
The .arb Name Service is part of Space ID's efforts to develop the .arb Domain Name Service on Arbitrum. This service functions as a decentralized naming system, providing an innovative solution for replacing Arbitrum wallet and contract addresses.
Space ID Token (ID)
The ID token serves as the native token within the Space ID ecosystem, offering several functions:
- Staking: ID tokens can be staked for discounts on domain NFT marketplace trading fees and Web3 domain registration discounts on Space ID.
- Payments: ID tokens facilitate transactions within the Space ID ecosystem and for Web3 Name SDK integration.
- Governance: Holders of the ID token can participate in voting on proposals within the Space ID DAO.
The Space ID governance token was made available to the public via Binance Launchpad, with the subscription period starting on March 17, 2023, and token distribution commencing on March 22, 2023.
Tokenomics
The total supply of Space ID tokens is 2,000,000,000, distributed as follows: 5% to Binance Launchpad, 7% to advisors, 8% to strategic sale, 20% to seed sale, 15% to the core team, 10% to the ecosystem, 13% to marketing, 12% to the foundation, and 10% to community airdrop.
Space ID DAO
The Space ID DAO is governed by holders of the $ID token. It oversees the DAO Treasury and provides a framework for community collaboration and resource sharing. A new revenue distribution model includes a buyback-and-burn mechanism using registration proceeds, executed quarterly.
Governance process
The governance process follows specific rules:
- Proposals undergo a two-step process, starting with a draft submission on the Space ID governance forum. After community review, a snapshot vote is scheduled with the community manager's assistance.
- A DAO proposal requires at least 50% passing votes from wallet addresses holding a minimum of 5,000,000 ID tokens to pass.
- Once a proposal is approved, the core team executes it, with funding distribution authorized by multi-sig signers elected by the DAO.
Programs
Space ID Grant Program
The Space ID Grant Program provides funding to support blockchain community projects. Eligible projects are selected for grants every two to four weeks, allowing developers and entrepreneurs to focus on their initiatives. Eligibility criteria include support for specific blockchain networks, integration of Space ID Web3 Name SDK, and a functional mainnet version available for use.
The program focuses on two project categories: Domain Integration and Building on the Space ID Ecosystem. Five tracks are available for applicants: Wallet Track, DApps Track, Gaming Track, Tooling Track, and CEX Track.
Space ID Referral Program
The Space ID Referral Program encourages community engagement by allowing participants to earn commissions for referring others to register .bnb domains through unique links. Participants can earn up to 15% commission based on the number of referrals.
Space ID Gift Card
Space ID Gift Cards function as non-fungible tokens (NFTs), enabling listing and transferability. They can be redeemed for SID Points, which are exclusive to the Space ID Mainnet and can be used for purchases. Gift cards with values of $650, $160, and $5 are available, corresponding to 650, 160, and 5 SID Points, respectively.
Space ID Cosmic Council
The Cosmic Council is a contributor program within the Space ID community. Members can join by obtaining the "Cosmic Recruit" role, granting access to a category on the Space ID Discord server. Three guilds are available: Community Guild, Marketing Guild, and Research Guild. Contributors can participate by submitting content in relevant channels and may be selected for the 'Cosmic Astra' role based on consistent, high-quality contributions.
Space ID Voyage Season 2
Space ID Voyage Season 2 is an event series that began on March 19, 2023. Participants could claim Voyage boxes, which opened on March 23, 2023. New and existing users of the Space ID ecosystem could participate, with different box variants available: Uncommon, Rare, and Legendary. Each box contained random points claimable upon unlocking.
Voyage Legendary Box
New users eligible for this box include holders of blue-chip NFTs and ENS, with eligibility based on historical trading volume of NFT collections like Bored Ape Yacht Club and Azuki. A snapshot of these NFT holders was taken on March 16, 2023.
Voyage Rare Box
Eligibility for this box is based on holding native tokens across blockchains or possessing a Galxe Passport.
Voyage Uncommon Box
Users not meeting the criteria for Legendary and Rare Boxes receive an Uncommon Box instead.
