Wanchain

Wanchain (WAN)

Wanchain is a public blockchain that supports the development of smart contracts using Solidity. It incorporates ring signature-based private transactions and decentralized cross-chain functionality.

Overview

Wanchain offers a blockchain infrastructure featuring cross-chain interoperability, privacy, and full smart-contract capabilities. It allows both public and private blockchains to connect and facilitate inter-ledger asset transfers. The network operates on a Proof-of-Stake (PoS) consensus algorithm. The Wanchain token is used for staking in PoS and cross-chain bridging nodes, as well as for transaction fees.

Supported tokens

Wanchain supports the following tokens:

  • Bitcoin
  • Ethereum
  • Maker (MKR)
  • Dai (DAI)

WAN, also known as Wancoin, is the native currency of Wanchain. It powers all transactions, cross-chain activities, and smart contracts on Wanchain. WAN is utilized as a stake in the PoS system and serves as a bond for Wanchain’s cross-chain Storeman nodes. Unlike ERC-20 tokens, WAN and Wanchain-based tokens have distinct characteristics.

    Wan Wallet

Wanchain's official desktop light wallet, Wan Wallet, is accessible on Mac, Windows, and Linux platforms. It supports various features, including:

    • WAN asset management
    • Standard transfer and receive transactions
    • Delegation management under Galaxy Consensus Proof of Stake
    • Ledger hardware wallet support
    • Staking capabilities
    • Multi-crypto asset management
    • Private transactions
    • Cross-chain transactions
