Wemix, a blockchain-based decentralized gaming platform, was founded by WEMADE TREE, a subsidiary of the South Korean gaming company Wemade, on January 29, 2019. It integrates native coins, NFTs, and DeFi programs to offer investment opportunities. The platform emphasizes the Play and Earn (P&E) model, allowing users to earn in-game currency that can be used in the game or exchanged for the native WEMIX token, which can be liquidated on decentralized exchanges as fiat currency. The coin maintains its stability by pegging its value to USDC through the DIOS protocol, which manages the issuance and burning of WEMIX$ to prevent depegging.
