Jito

Jito (JTO)

Jito provides a liquid staking service for Solana, offering users the opportunity to stake their SOL tokens and receive JitoSOL tokens in return. These tokens provide liquidity while allowing holders to earn staking and maximum extractable value (MEV) rewards. The company is co-founded by Lucas Bruder and Zano Sherwani.

Overview

Jito stands out by offering additional rewards from MEV transactions and partnering with validators that use specialized software to enhance network performance and reduce congestion. JitoSOL accumulates value from these rewards and supports decentralized finance (DeFi) integrations, enabling users to earn yield from validators and participate in lending or farming protocols. The platform aims to maximize yield for JitoSOL holders and improve the Solana network.

Jito Foundation

The Jito Foundation, based in the Cayman Islands, supports the development of the Jito Network and operates under its own governance structure. Tokenholders have a say in the foundation's and network's decision-making processes through Tokenholder Votes and Jito Improvement Proposals (JIPs).

Features

MEV solution

Maximum Extractable Value (MEV) refers to the potential profit from the specific order of transaction execution. Jito aims to optimize the extraction and distribution of MEV to enhance Solana's security and decentralization. The platform utilizes an auction system where traders bid for profitable transaction sequences, and the proceeds are shared with stakers through JitoSOL.

Stake delegation

Jito's Liquid Staking initiative enhances Solana's decentralization and performance by partnering with validators that meet specific criteria. The initiative supports high-quality network operators, improves decentralization, and provides high yields to JitoSOL holders. Validators must meet requirements such as running an MEV-enabled client and maintaining a commission rate of 10% or less.

StakeNet

StakeNet includes keepers and on-chain programs with components like the Validator History Program, which maintains a detailed record of validator activity. The Steward Program uses this data to score validators and determine stake delegation amounts. This system is autonomous and promotes a transparent stake delegation process.

JitoSOL

JitoSOL is a liquid staking derivative on the Solana blockchain, allowing users to exchange their SOL for JitoSOL, maintaining liquidity and DeFi opportunities while earning staking yield. The token offers rewards from MEV extraction and can be traded on decentralized exchanges or withdrawn via Jito’s website after a cooldown period.

JTO Token

The JTO governance token enables community members to directly influence the decision-making and direction of the Jito Network. It has a total supply of 1 billion tokens, with allocations for community growth, ecosystem development, core contributors, investors, and airdrops.
