Kelp DAO Restaked ETH (RSETH)
Kelp DAO Restaked ETH (rsETH) is a Liquid Restaked Token (LRT) introduced by Kelp DAO, a platform focused on providing multi-chain liquid restaking solutions for Ethereum and EigenLayer. This token enhances liquidity for assets placed in restaking platforms like EigenLayer and addresses challenges associated with traditional restaking methods.
Features of Kelp DAO Restaked ETH
Simplifying staking and DeFi access
rsETH is created from Liquid Staked Tokens (LSTs) approved as collateral on EigenLayer. It allows users to have fractional ownership of staked assets, simplifying the process of accessing restaking and decentralized finance (DeFi) opportunities. The token is designed to integrate seamlessly with DeFi protocols, addressing issues like complex reward systems and high gas fees.

Functionality and benefits for users
Users, known as restakers, stake their LSTs to mint rsETH tokens, representing fractional ownership of the underlying assets. The tokens deposited are managed by Node Operators linked with Kelp DAO. Rewards are accumulated through various services, and users can exchange their rsETH tokens on Automated Market Makers (AMMs) for immediate liquidity or redeem the underlying assets through rsETH contracts. Additionally, rsETH tokens can be utilized in various DeFi applications.
Streamlined processes for stakeholders
For restakers, rsETH provides an efficient way to manage staking and rewards without the need to choose specific services or validators. Authorized Validator Services (AVSs) benefit from a simplified process, eliminating the need to identify suitable operators, while also helping reduce reward emissions. Operators experience ease in attracting restakers and managing rewards, without the need to identify specific services.
